The small twin charger engine can certainly handle 130km/h comfortably and still have sufficient juice to do overtaking beyond 130km/h. The 316i likewise should be able to handle your expectation assuming you can held back from "tekan" the accelerator later on. I know many golf out there have reliability issue but I have only made the mechatronics recall and demanded for clutch pack change once under warranty for low gear shift juddering.
