Summary & Update The F10 was bought from Ingress Auto in late Sept 2015 and a reverse camera was retrofitted there a week later. In late August this year, I sent the car to Ingress Auto for a brake fluid change. A software update was also done, after which the reverse camera was inoperable. The car was sent back to Ingress Auto in early Sept to rectify the problem. After almost a month of trying to fix the problem, the SA finally told me that the reverse camera was not a genuine BMW but a 3rd party camera. I was surprised and upset, and filed a complaint together with the original Ingress Auto tax invoice and a copy of the credit card slip for the payment of a genuine BMW reverse camera 5 years ago. They agreed to do an internal investigation. Both the salesperson as well as the technician who installed the camera whom I dealt with 5 years ago had since left the company. So the lesson from this incident is that even though we have paid for a genuine part or accessory; we might still not be getting what we have paid for :(. After much back and forth, Ingress Auto finally agreed to replace the reverse camera with a genuine BMW one, which they did last week. I have to thank the senior sales manager, Mr Stace Low for assisting me in resolving this issue amicably.
