What your friend say is true and most recond cars would have issues ranging from petty ones to major problems (if you're unlucky). That is why I decided to go with an authorised dealer car when I bought my F10 as it comes with warranty and maintenance free. If budget is a concern, you can obviously consider used or recond car but please put aside some money to get things fixed.
