do u think this is a good buy? cause my sa currently offer me to extend the warranty for rm 8900any sifu here to advice?thanks

This is bsri package, not warranty.
I don't think extra 2 yrs of bsri justify the value of 4500 per yr since bsri only covers normal engine lubricant change, brake pad, spark plugs, and wiper.

I didn't know BSRI covers brake pads and wiper as well. Wah, like that can take the car out for more spirited drives and not worry about the brake pads.

Don't waste money la....Just enjoy ur ride for now since its still panas panas and think later

Bsri if cover headlamps then i buy
Nah it does not cover headlamps. Thats why had to get them protected with a clear film tint.

thanks!!!

i thought they cover the car warranty!!! if just bsri then not worth cause our car only service every 20k!!!

yeah it does not cover headlamp!

why not u put protective films now?

so how's ur mileage like per year?

depends on how deep is the scratches
I know there is a workshop that helps to restore cracked/scratched headlight in Sunway
Let me get the details and post it here. But it's quite costly

I heard that BMW no longer offering the extended warranty up to 5 years, is that true?

When I initially wanted to get the car, I was most keen to get the BSRI extended to 5 years. Knowing what I know now, I'm glad I didn't go through with it. It's not worth it, in my opinion, but I guess for a peace of mind and "Free" service every 30k KM, why not? :)

I think even anyone wants the extension, BMW Malaysia no longer giving the option anymore... :)

My 2 cents, not worth it if you chalk up under 20k km per year with modest driving avoiding road hazards that will cause unnecessary damages to warranty parts. May consider if you chalk up to 40k km a year spending lots of time on the road or highways with plenty of wear and tear. Even that, bsri is quite a nonsense package and only covers 1 service per year (avg of 20k) expecting u not to regularly drive a machine designed to be driven. Each service they perform general checks n usually just an engine oil change that doesn't cost more than rm500 in total. By 10k, u can literally feel the sluggishness of the motor not at its optimal running condition. Taking it to 20k a service? I'm not comfortable for sure. In essence, it's for warranty more than anything else such as the rusty seat frames and steering rack knocking.

The BSRI is opened again. According to my SA there is no black and white stated what is inclusive. The routine service is included inclusive of those wear and tear part. According to her they will try their best to help us to claim any defective parts if require. Dont know how true is it?
