You shouldn't mix different oils, especially a fully synthetic with a semi-synthetic. Oils are not like petrols and shouldn't be mixed. We recently found that even our retail Shell Helix 'fully synthetic' is actually a semi-synthetic. I've never checked out our retail Mobil 1 spec, but chances are that it's a semi-synthetic too. Mobil 1 here is not necessarily the same as Mobil 1 in the US. Yours is a new engine. Why take the risk?If you go to a dealer, you'll get a genuine fully synthetic dealer fill oil. In owning E90s for 2 years now, I've never dropped even 1 bar of oil. You've dropped what, 4 bars in a couple of months in your new car?
