Many of them complaning that this N42 engine has very high deposition of carbon due to the service manual allows changing after 25k. By the time you reach 25k which mean driving without oil change over a  year. That is really not recommended. As the oil missing, you can try overhaul the engine BUT many of them come back with the problem again.  Now, to be more careful with this engine, I changed oil 3 months once or 5k on fully synthetic oil whichever come first.
