engine oil missing

saya ada masalah tentang minyak hitam kereta saya ( bmw 318i 2.0 - 2002 ). Saya baru servis 4 hr lepas tetapi pagi tadi saya check minyak hitam hilang yg tiggal tak sampai separuh. saya tengok kat lantai garaz tak yg tumpah.

Oil missing

FYI,
I'm Chong from Ipoh. I've approached many workshop in KL & Ipoh. Many of them complaning that this N42 engine has very high deposition of carbon due to the service manual allows changing after 25k. By the time you reach 25k which mean driving without oil change over a year. That is really not recommended. As the oil missing, you can try overhaul the engine BUT many of them come back with the problem again. Now, to be more careful with this engine, I changed oil 3 months once or 5k on fully synthetic oil whichever come first.
MAybe, when you changed oil the other day, they haven't top up enough.
Try check again.

check around your engine compartment if there is trace of oil, if floor and around engine also no oil, i think mechanic didnt topup enough like what wlchong77 mention. topup back to the center line and monitor again after 2 or 3 days. if after few days the oil still maintain at the centre line of your dipstick then confirm they didnt topup enough. if still missing, then u seriously have to tell your mechanic about the problem

tak yah gi bikin dulu, ko beli 1 litre minyak topup dulu tengok cam maner, kalau masih kurang baru gi bikin sebab ko kata tak nampak aper aper leaking

betul bro,,gee beli 1liter dulu tambah dulu dan monitor 2hari check dan check,,,belajar sikit2 pasal bimmer bro,,lama2 pandai troubleshooting.....bagi sy mungkin valve dan pistine ring a promblem kalu tak leaking .........lagi...check flywheel too REGARDS tk dan
