Look up the guy called alpina527.In short. The main benefits are for the 328i engines from the e36 era with the single vanos version. They used a 320i intake manifold on the 328i engine to restrict the air intake and hence bhp. What most guys do is fit the 325i intake manifold to liberate a few more ponies. Some people say you loose some torque, but i think it's a worth while mod to do. It's not plug and play, you have to make a couple of brackets for it to fit.Some guys here have done it and i remember reading that one 325 owner even did a reverse swap to a 320 intake to gain some torque.
