Engine Check Indicator Warning

Hi to all BMW experts,I am quite new to this machine (just bought this 520i year 2003 last 3 weeks). I just had my car fully service last week but my warning indicator lamp (check engine) appear before I start my engine (the moment I plugin the key). It will goes off immediately after I started my engine. Is it normal? or is it just me? Or should I do another check? ( I have not gone through the owner manual yet at this moment)Please advise..
