In essence, you'll need an INPA-EDIABAS compatible cable to get EasyDIS to work which easily available on eBay and such. The cable I've made and USB-to-serial converter pair is able to autodetect my car.Installation of INPA-EDIABAS is a breeze but needed for EasyDIS to work since it will use EDIABAS to talk to the vehicle. INPA is English here unlike the others. Everything should be ok if you follow the documentations to the letter.One thing that I did wrong is that setting the protocol as Softing and not Fister. And note that, EasyDIS is modified from the original application to work with INPA-EDIABAS interface. So the bar showing connection health to the yellow diaghead will not work (as my screenshot below). Remember to turn off firewall, including the application in firewall exception is not enough.Hope this helps anybody.Some useful links<a href="http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1385070&page=3" target="_blank">http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1385070&page=3</a><a href="http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1608785" target="_blank">http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1608785</a>EasyDIS screenshotMain page<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/3.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />Autodetect works<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/4_G.gif" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />So many errors<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/5_G.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />Need a course to use DIS, the car can detect noise and play!<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/6.gif" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />One Of the Coding submenu<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/7.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />INPA screensMain page<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/1.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />IKE settings<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/bcoff_G.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />Monitor CAN bus to the IKE<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/2.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />Little info on the homemade interfaceSchematic is like so<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/bmwmodifj6.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />Got OBD supplies from <a href="http://www.obd2-shop.eu" target="_blank">http://www.obd2-shop.eu</a>Construction pictures<img src="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/IMG_2934.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /><a href="http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/IMG_2935.jpghttp://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/IMG_2945.jpghttp://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/IMG_2953.jpgInterface" target="_blank">http://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/IMG_2935.jpghttp://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/IMG_2945.jpghttp://i791.photobucket.com/albums/yy197/aidilj/diagnostic/IMG_2953.jpgInterface</a> can easily be acquired on eBay..!
