If you intend to modify the car, i would go the 335i although i dont know how much power the DCT gearbox is good for but if i remember correctly, the SMG II's in the E46 M3's could take 700hp+ with the HPF Turbo kits so if the DCT is an improvement, safe to assume 700hp is still wokay for the gearbox? Just an assumption. I would go 335i if you intend to mod but having driven the E46 M3 before, i would never trade it for an E46 330i no matter how heavy its modded.
