Guys, my 07 323i seems to have this stuttering/stuttering in low speed acceleration. What could the problem be?

Check your ignition coils and spark plugs.
Thanks mate. Will send my car for checking today and report back the issues here :)

By the way, any of the Penang mates have good workshops to recommend. So far ive only heard of Chu Seng and Super Excel. Wondering if any of the ws in Penang is good enough to handle gearbox issues.

Gearbox issues....common known issue (e60 & e90 share similar ZF6HP19 auto gearbox) is jerking when slowing down and etc. Try replacing AFT oil & filter first. If problem persist, then most likely you need to replace the 7 pieces mechatronics solenoids.

So, came back from a diagnosis and according to my mechanic, most probably some faulty coils as it shows misfiring code on the comp check thingy. He suggested changing it and also said there's a slight possibility that it might be due to some 'valvexxx/vanos' thing (he was pointing at the engine). The first would be a cheap fix but latter would cost 2-3k++.

Funny thing as i think he cleared the code and there wasnt much juddering after i drove it home.

By the way for those who are curious, my symptoms include judderring/stuttering when idle and driving but no jerking as of now. The rpm needle fluctuates a little during idle too.

Should you require second opinion, ZF Auto, Lorong Birch (Off Jalan Kelawei), behind Petron Petrol station.
Quite a reputable place for BMW owners.

Thanks mate. Will give it a look. Anyway, anyone can recommend me a place to fix the roof headliner. Mine is sagging on the mid and i plan to fix it but has no idea anywhere thats capable of doing it for beemers..

Guys, something irrelevant to the topic but, has anyone changed their window trim (rubber lining) on their windscreen? Where can i get it done and how much?

Anyway, anyone can recommend where i can buy parts online? Planning to get the weathershield rubber and install it myself.

Hi Herbert, regarding the jerking when slowing down, im experiencing what i would say a 'down gear shift' effect when im slowing down. Is the gearbox supposed to do that or should it be smooth regardless of speed?

you can easily buy them from any BMW parts dealer, but be careful when you install it..there have been cases where the fit is so tight that when you force the weatherseal in, the windshield will crack. It depends on the fitting of the windshield and the space to slot in the weatherseal. In the youtube videos, the gap seems big enough for you to slide the new weather seal in with a bit of help from silicone lube.

Btw, this is probably not the right topic for you to discuss this since the original post is on judder / stutter issues.

A normal 6 speed auto gearbox should be smooth regardless of speed. An inexpensive solution would be to update your ECU & auto transmission and replace AFT fluid & filter (if you haven't done so).

Perhaps you should check with BMW specialist Penang workshops whether they can do the ECU updates.

Vinxter, the windscreen rubber seal can be changed at most windscreen shop, just changed mine after my glass cracked. U can also order from suan huat or bomin

Yeah but all shops that i went to told me that they have to remove the whole windscreen to fix the new rubber. However i read that it can be done without removing the windscreen on e90posts. How much did it cost you for the rubber?
