Will be looking forward to drive a beemer again after 5 years. Last time I own one was a 1995 E36 325i sold it in 2001. In fact, I was a forum member when BCM was first initiated but it has been a while since I logged in and BCM does not recognised me and I have to re-register.

Hi beemerlover, where are you from ? The package seems new to us in Malaysia market.

320i executive model here is without all that you mentioned except for bi-xenon headlights. We can't get it here even we are willing to pay for it.

By looking at the package, I feel it is worth going for it at A$2,500 since buying it separately will cost you higher.

Also competing for a place in my garage is a similar priced used 6 months old E90 323i but without any of the Innovation items. The only difference is the S6 inline 2.5 140kW engine. Personally, I'm a fan of S6 but this car is for my wife. I don't think she like that 323i because it is silver instead the metallic black that she wanted.

Btw, david, if you don't mind, which UDM are you driving?

Always buy new when you can....that Innovation pkg sounds like a great deal, what are you waiting for, pull the trigger :D Life's too short....

Hi beemerlover

I think i remember you, you are also the "pioneer" member migrated from AutoWorld Forum last time?

Congratulation on your new BMW and welcome back to the fold!

The dealer called me today and said he managed to locate a car that meet my requirement and can be delivered in 2 weeks. However, that particular car comes with 2 extra options that I did not originally requested which is the electric rear roller blind (A$550 option) and mechanical sunblind for rear side windows (A$370).

Initially he ask me whether I'm prepared to have this car but I need to fork out the extra or wait for 3 months for another car. Later he suggested that we go 50 : 50 on the extra option for a earlier delivery. I was adamant about not paying the extra but nicely convinced him to persuade to let me have this car for no extra cost. Finally received a phonecall from him and he agreed to give me this car at no extra cost. Probably he was also happy that he managed to close 2 other car deals today. I have to say that I'm very happy with this guy's service.

The likelihood of us getting such good deal here is next to zero! Congratulation again!

This is in contrast the service I got when the E90 was first launched mid 2005. Went to the showroom and despite being there examining the cars for more than 15 minutes, no salesmen (those I see are free) did not come to greet me. Have to approached and asked them for assistance. Normally in Australia, you can negotiate your price off the RRP but not in BMW in 2005. Probably due to the new release of E90 then. they can 'tarik harga' Was pissed off with them and bought a Nissan Murano instead and I still have that car.

You shouldn't have let the errant actions of a dealership and a couple of CAs spoil your car purchase experience like that. I'd have took off to a competing dealership. BMW dealers are a mix and match, I've been lucky so far, my CA treats me well and gives me $500 over wholesale invoice pricing.

Dealer informed me that car should be ready end next week!

Anyway, was comparing the E90 brochure when it was launched mid 2005 and realised that it is now A$1,300 dearer that what it was previously. Although the salesmen said this is an upgrade model with additional standard inclusions such as comfort access and partial electric seat adjustment but it didn't really register in my mind at that time. :motz:

With now time on my hand, I was comparing the pre upgrade and post upgrade brochure and listed below are the extra standard inclusion :

Comfort access system (previously A$1,250 option)
Park Distance Control - rear (A$920)
Anti dazzle interior mirror (A$350)
Through loading system including ski bag (A$900) - important to me as my family picked up skiing
Partial electric seat adjustment for front seats (A$1,000)
Front armrest - retractable (A$300)
Total A$4,720

To pay extra A$1,300 to get A$4,720 worth of extras is not a bad thing after all! :dancing2:
