Drive train - Engine Power & Gear & CoolingPower abit lacking n in-sufficient to pull out of uphill slow turns, had to drop to 1st gear at turn 9- 90degree up hill. if u haf gud exit speed on e back strights, a stock STI would take a 325 approximately 5-6 cars by turn 1. if slow exit speed, walaueh easily 10 cars ahead man.. FI FI.. Arnd the track, full throttle on most bends adhering to rite cornering line. and w my setup i never really broke traction until e tires were over heated after 3-4 laps. Had to gun the throttle at some sharper bend + corners but in general, sufficient power to correct minor oversteer. Can play catch up some FI car's arnd e track until hitting e back straights again. No problem with cooling system but i only did averagely 5 laps per session. Gear ratio's r well mated w e engine hp n power band. need to keep RPM at 4k+ n above for N52, RPM climbs pretty acceptable arnd this range. once it drops to btwn 2-4k rpm then u gotta drop gear very quikly so e 320d torque wld fill dis void gap pretty nicely too. the good thing is the paddle shifter reaction time w gearbox is pretty quick so plus point to high revving e n52 once again. e ecu protects e engine from overrevving so all u nd is to downshift aggresively to keep e power going. something tt i learn on track n neva on spiritted town driving. e gearbox takes e power n heat pretty well so it performed pretty flawlessly over the 15 laps tt i took over 3 sessions.3. Handling - Car Settinga. default setting(DTC off, DSC on) - boring, DSC flashing all e time n cuts power to e wheels too soon. b. with DTC on, DSC on - allows more rear wheel slide n spin, increases e FUN factor for most novice drivers. dis is where u get to experience a true FR drive characteristic. minor correction at times wen pushed to its limit but not too restrictive. throwing e back in turn in 2 & 3 n last turn w e rear sliding is so much FUN, e FF cars i was so atuned is so boring in comparison. c. DSC off - slide slide slide, no electronics to help e driver, FUN nonetheless but hazard to others on track. but stil, u need to carry sufficient speed to break traction but once u do u gotta counter steer like yr life depending on it which it does. sideways is e name of the game but 325 definitely not enuff power to power slide unlike e M3 or 335 but sufficient to do DONUTS @ expense of tire wearCar set-upa. stock ARB n bars on Msport is sufficient to gracefully whack arnd SICb. KW's coilover made a big difference in e handling of e car, with my current set-up e rear is less prone to oversteer as before wen i was running bilstein PSS. c. -1.5 rear camber w slight toe in is juz nice for track, anything more will kill e tires in a heart beat d. gud downforce design n perfect weight distribution front and rear. ExperienceMinor understeer at tite corners so they may be a need to push e rear a tad that promotes an oversteer situation.but w e correct suspension n camber set-up dis oversteer situation can be minimized and it took me a while to tune e suspension to get this rite.so in general u get a under under over feeling... better than under under den crash coz yr car is not pointed.. ahaha... The steering response n feedback is gud so driver steering reaction is more immediate and the car behaves in e manner tt is more predictable. turn e steering n u point e car at 1 direction n it goes like a well trained k9, neva out of control bcoz e steering is quite heavy so no major movements tt throws e car out of its balanced rhythm.e msport steering size n grip is e right size mated w sport seats tucked me in pretty well w gud lower back support 4. wear n tear -a. service indicator turun arnd 5k for 1 track sessionb. front brakes down by 8k for 1 track sessionc. rear brakes down by 4k for 1 track sessiond. tires - oouch.... extremely painful n Xe. bushing, etc - yay yay BSRI n warranty while keep'g fingers crossedOverall impression - +ve & -ve1. BMW handling dynamics... WOWZERS2. hard and late BRAKING at corners &/or b4 corners3. KW v3's ze BEST if u ask me 4. PS2 - soft n grippy tires, great traction but tends to overheat n wear pretty quickly due to soft compound5. Abit more power n torque wld be nice but e sound of e 6 pot in full swing it e sweetest sound to my ears.6. ECU too intelligent - Pro's & Cons7. Still understeers a tad but u really need to enter at pretty high cornering speed to experience this, majority of drivers wld not experience dis on daily driven routes.8. lastly turn off DSC n pray hard to God tt u've sufficient skills to drive e carWISH LIST - 30-40 more HP and 60-80nm more Torque, DCT gearbox, michelin sports club tiresOverall Experience = PRICELESS :top:feel free to comment or share your experiences, all for e sake of discussion. always gud to learn from others as well. n don't think for a moment tt i feel that BMW is e best car on track, its NOT but it has impressed me n sufficient to keep me happy for now</p></blockquote><p></p>
