For BMW's, the LCI models are always the better ones as they have already fixed most of the known issues, facelift it for the finishing touch and for our market in M'sia, they will usually fully load it with the options. So you really get the best of what the particular model has to offer. For instance, when the E60 was reaching its end, prior to F10 launching, they threw in 19 inch "super garang" alloys, two tone leather, special unique colours such as the ala coal black (can't remember the name), sun/moonroof, etc. So in short, buying a pre-reg or from premium selection for a nearing the end of the life cycle is always a good choice.
