Hi Guys, Happy New Year! I have test drove the 320d performance package. It’s a car full of torque, step on the gas & it takes off like all of the 320d owners said. I won’t need to mention about the handling. U guys know it’s good. It won’t go wrong with M sport. It’s SWEET. Probably the tyre profile is higher since it’s 17” vs 18” on a 325i M sport, I don’t feel the shock from the suspension or may be the feedback from the road coming in that sharp like a 18”, but totally no problem at all.(I like it sharp but probably this is a more comfortable ride) Another thing is that when cornering, we always work on the gas, the NA in line6 give us precisely according to my input on the pedal. However, with turbo it’s a little difficult for me. Becareful not to step on it too hard, the turbo kicks in… it’s too much power… Well, according to RCBL, who’s kind enough to explain to me that it’s just a matter of getting use to the footwork. After that, it will response just as usual like our NA. Also, probably the car still hasn’t adapt to my driving style. Well, if a normal driver like me can feel it, how cannot a BMW engineer or test driver not notice that & take care of it? Come to the clattering sound. It will take some time for an inline6 owner to get use to. Once you’ve accepted the fact & use to it, I guess it’s ok? I think diesel is the trend and we have to accept it. It give us power & economy, the only trade off it to accept the clattering sound. We also need a better diesel quality. I remember when I was in my colleague’s car in Germany last Nov, I never notice that it's a diesel car for nearly 80km ride. Until he wind down the window, I find it suspicious and look at the RPM meter which has lower reading then only I could make sure. There’s no vibration, noise. I consider myself a sensitive person on car, and this is impressive… With better diesel quality, I guess it will make diesel and easy choice. However, the refinement and the engine roar of an inline6 something can’t be ignored. NA engine has it’s beauty too. The more I drive my 6.5yrs old E46 325i, the more I love it. So, probably I will wait for another year or so, as my car is still in a very very good condition and I think I want to enjoy it more as of now. I just don't won't how long I can hold myself... hehehe.... The ultimate question is still a 320d or 325i?(Since both are M sport, I will not mention that)
