I had the Civic for a few days as a loaner car, the 320i was on a long test drive and I bought the 320d a few months ago.The Civic is surprisingly loud, NVH was disappointing, I could hear the engine noise clearly. It is very responsive however, similar to the 320i but the 320i obviously has much more mass to move. The 320d is soooo much quicker, the diesel clatter goes away the moment you close the door and it clearly feels very responsive and eager to go. However the M-Sport versions are firmer than what you get on the Civic which itself is relatively firm already compared to the rest of its class.
