Hello All,I've just installed 162 rims on E90 320i and really love the look. Very modern looking rims in my personal opinion and suits the E90 perfectly. However, I wanted to know the best place to change springs to lower it a bit as my E90 comes in standard suspension package. 1. Can someone recommend a good place (cheap/reasonable/goodjob)?2. What is a good height to go for (rule of thumb)?3. What brand should I go for?I would go for ride comfort and not want to worry about going over humps - not a speed freak. Yet i don't want it to look as if my car is floating in space. Thanks in advance to all Bimmer sifu's for input.

If comfort is your priority, I would go for BMW's own M-Tecknik sports suspension. It's standard stuff for the E90 sports package and I've used it on my E46 without problems for more than 5 years. You can get this done at AB itself but they're bound to charge a bomb. A lot of fellas have done it at Stuttgart for much cheaper and yet have no problems. I got mine done in AB yonks ago! For my impending E92, I might opt for Stuttgart if they're much cheaper and they're willing to trade in my standard 17"s.

Thanks Juan, where is stuttgart and what kind of cost we're looking at.

Heard you're at hartamas...same here :).

Hey Armi. Glad to know I got more BMW neighbours. I was just telling someone the other day I think Sri Hartamas and Mont Kiara has the highest density of E90s in KL. I'm not sure of the price on the E90 cos I paid only RM5K plus to AB 5 years ago for my E46. Stuttgart is located in Taman Megah, PJ. Best to speak to their MD, Eddie Lim directly.

Do you happen to have the web site or contact number for Eddie? What does the sports package actually include? Just springs and absorbers?

Yes I noticed the number of E90s in Hartamas/Mont Kiara. Spotted a 330 in Plaza Damas 3 hours ago with 162 rims :).

I think it includes a set of anti-roll bars too. I don't have Eddie's card with me lah. He gave me one the other day but when I checked, the contact details were for his outfit in Perth which does the same thing but being run by his eldest son.

Hi Armi, mind sharing how much you got your 162's for and of course the RFT tyres? Did you trade in your standard rims? :)

Hey all, can't remember exact price but got it from AB in Glenmarie. Costs about 8-10k for rims alone. I was quoted 8.8k by Auto Technika at SS2 a few days ago - just wanted to test market price.

I changed to non RFT and got Michelin Sport tyres.. damn exp !!! Cost me 1.6k per piece of tyre and I cried when I read your prices on Dragon and the other suggested brands. I'll definitely go for dragons next.

Did not trade in my standard rims, it's still in AB but I did buy a repair kit for about 700 RM.

Anyways, can someone point me to stuttgart? Is it still about 5k for the sports package?

Hey guys, when got E90 gathering? I'm new to this club so not sure where to look or how to join a gathering.

Armi, it's behind the Lim Kok Wing college near Taman Megah, PJ. I dunno the exact address. Have you tried doing a google? The E90 sports package might cost more since the price I paid was 5 years ago. BTW, what's your standard rims doing AB? Are they helping you to sell it? I'm gonna be in the same predicament next week cos contemplating changing from 17" to 18". I should be advertising my 17"s for sale here soon.

It's still in AB yet to be collected. But don't think they will sell it for me. Know anywhere I can place and sell it?

Hi everyone - I cannot remember now which thread I had seen this, but someone had actually checked the pricing of the BMW sports suspension setup earlier at AB and said it is RM3000+. And yes, it includes stabilizer bars too.

For the E90?!! Wow... It's a lot cheaper than for the E46 in 2002. I can't understand why, despite our Ringgit being slightly stronger now. I was advised by AB that M-Tech suspension for my E92 would be "not more" than RM10K.

3800 is Ok in my opinion.

Sorry for my ignorance but is this MSport setup exactly the same as what you'd get if you buy an E90 with sports suspension from AB?

Armi, the reason why I'm somewhat gobsmacked is cos E46F and I paid RM5K for our E46s 5 years ago and I can't understand why it's cheaper for the E90. I hope for your's and my sake that it's RM3,800! since I don't expect the E92's MSport to be more expensive, or not by much in any case. Someone should check with AB. I'm gonna do that later this evening. Will revert once I get a response.

Yeah, I can check with AB glenmarie too. Let's hope it's 3.8k but sometimes I keep wondering if 3.8 k is worth it just for an inch drop.. hmmm
