Gents, just wanted to do a quick update. For anyone who still has not replaced their Ignition coils from Bremi to the BMW recommended Bosch, but would like to do it cost effectively. Just converted all remaining 5 of my Bremi coils at only RM100 per piece. Have checked around town and found the best price at a parts supplier located in Kepong. The part # Bosch 12131712219 for the E46 325i ('03) But I presume this applies to all E46 models post 2003. Total costs RM500/- and 30mins spent installing it. This represented a near 48% savings if done at AB. I even had the cheek to call AB's emergency service line to get some instructions on how to do it. Procedure wise, it was as straight forward as replacing an air filter. Just lift off the cover over where the coils were located, unplug the power supply, pull out the old coils and stick the new coils in. Am completely satisfied with the result and the car seems to idle a "little" more smoother. PM me if anyone needs more details on where to get parts and installation instructions.
