E46 Meter Indicator Meaning??

Hi All,



can some one explain whats that number "-850KM" means. it appears everytime when i start my car with Key position 1.
and i also notice the number keep increasing by -50km from time to time..
i tried looking for information in the bmw Book but not written there.,

How about after start the car ? Did "-850KM" disappear ?

If yes it's might be the interval service remind.

You are minus 850KM overdue for your inspection.

When you change the oil, the KM would usually be reset by the workshop.

For my car, I have code it to be 8000KM. As you use the car it will start counting down.

So please change the oil and do the inspection. get it reset.
