Idling problem now solved after changing the air hose and TPS sensor , no problems with the replaced idle ring as well .Unfortunately , my waterhose spare tank e46 and the head water pipe was leaking everywhere after i had fixed the idling problem , and so had to replace that too. in all my 6 yrs of having this car , this year was more physically and financially challenging ,. .. wonder if anyone has got the same experience with having almost 11 yr old car. Mine has clocked a 108000 miles or so ( still using the same unit setting from uk ).once again tq all for the advise</blockquote>
