I know people who enjoyed trouble-free ride since I met them in this forum and those who spent thousands (usually 2 digit) on maintenance costs a year. It's a game of chance. Nobody can really guarantee the health of the car once the warranty period ends.If you've been driving an E36 318i, even the 520i would be pleasurable. It's afterall a 6 cylinder as well. Lower roadtax, same shape. Hahahaha....If you feel you need a little more ooomph...go for either the 523i or 525i double vanos edition. For a year 2000 one, be prepared to fork out between RM160k-RM170k for a good condition one.Not a master of E39 even though I would love to own one in the near future. Preferably a 530i.....ekekek......Good luck in searching for an ultimate E39!Check out Chin Motor in Sunway. They have pretty good condition used BMWs there. B)</blockquote>
