E39 Speedometer died

My E39 Speedometer now acting wierdly, sometime ok, but when hit potholes or ran over bump, the meter simply died.Anyone encountered this problem before and how much for replacement ? I think my speed sensor just died.

If speed sensor gone, u should get the error light up in the cluster.
