Hi,I'm look for absorber replacement for m M54 E39. As i want standard factory feel, i have zoom down to Bilstein B4 instead of another OEM Boge. B4 also cheaper than Boge. Seriously I don't trust these type of advertiser as they can make any claim without any recourse. If I were you, I would stcik to original Sachs or OEM Boge.

Go for B6 or B8 wt sport spring. Yr E39 will stick to the road on high speed & still got the comfort feel. :smokin:

Thanks for all the reply. I agree we should not compromise on quality as it involved safety, not just about comfort or handling. By the way, may i know what is the different between Bilstein B4 and B6 and how much it typically cost?

Since you are looking for Bilstein B4, go for the genuine one as the advertisement you saw merely says that those are equivalent of B4. In other words, they are not B4. Just call up some of the spare parts shop listed in the forum and you will have an idea how much is the price range for both B4 and B6.

My 525 is 2002 AB model, is there any diff in the jap specs? I am contemplating replacing my shocks soon as i would prefer something softer and more comfortable. Also Bilstein b4?

is it true bilstein only offer 1 month warranty?
i got a fren who produces watever hardness u want...ie custom made and only sells for 1350 for all 4.
he gives 6 months warranty wor.
wat u guys think?
