The following was done to rectify slight vibration felt at steering wheel when stationary:</p><p></p><p>1. 2 pcs Engine mounting - RM350</p><p>2. 2 pcs Gear box mounting - RM 100</p><p></p><p>Total - RM450</p><p></p><p>C. Following was done on 27 Oct 2007 at the same place. This was to rectify erratic idling and engine vibration when stationary.</p><p></p><p>1. 1 pc vent hose - RM 85</p><p>2. 1 pc water hose - RM150</p><p>3. 1 pc vent pipe - RM140</p><p>4. Pressure valve - RM230</p><p>5. 1 pc vent pipe (or something like that) - RM145</p><p>6. 1 pc return pipe - RM145</p><p>7. 1 pc wiper tank cover - RM13</p><p>8. 1 pc reservoir hose - RM55</p><p>9. 1 pc blower air hose - RM 90</p><p>10. 7 litre engine oil (synthetic) + oil filter - RM338</p><p>11. Labour to do the above - RM 120.00</p><p></p><p>Total cost : RM1,511</p><p></p><p>D. Following was done at ES Auto Air Con Service at Jalan Gasing. This was to rectify problem with aircon - cold at times, most of the time not cold.</p><p></p><p>1. Receiver dryer switch - RM190</p><p>2. Compressor - RM1,650</p><p>3. To vacuum and compressor oil & gas - RM60</p><p>4. 1 set o ring - RM15</p><p>5. Labour charge - RM90</p><p></p><p>Total cost - RM2,005</p><p></p><p>Therefore total cost spent so far since I bought the car (2nd hand) in May 2007:</p><p>RM4,295+RM450+RM1,511+RM2,005 = RM8,261</p><p></p><p>Well what can I say. Never Have I spent that much in maintaining my previous cars (Perdana, Waja, Volvo 144s, Peugeot, Ford escort, Saga, Corona, Wira, Sonata)...even if I were to add the maintenance cost for all the cars that I have owned.</p><p></p><p>However must admit the BMW is definitely the Ultimate Driving Machine but alas it is also the Ultimate Costly Machine.</p><p></p><p>Any advise is welcome on the parts that I have replaced. Not sure if I really need to have changed certain parts.
