I have the following equipments 1) Nakamichi CD700 MKII Single DIN HU - with 24Bit DAC 2) Indash Nakamichi 5-disc changer Plan to put those into the dash, removing the original player. Will have to forgo the controls. No wires cut. (Just got to think where's best to get remote power for the HU) Then, for speakers I have a set of 3-way Alpine F1, made by scanspeaks with 7", 4.25" and 3" tweeter. Plan to put the 7" on the door (using the existing 5" location), kick panel for 4.25" and tweeter on dash. Original kick panel and door panel won't be cut, but, will have to replace with fibre mouldings, leather wrapped. Will keep the originals. Will have to use dynamat extreme to strengthen the doors and interior door panels because the 7" will "act" like subs too. The door becomes enclosure. 7" can go down to bout 30hz rolling off slowly. The F1 comes with a very flexible, tri-amping capable and big passive x-overs, so, can place these under the dash. As for amps - I have 1xHelix A2 competition series and 1xA1 competition series. Can place the amps underneath the front seat as it is very thin, nice black housing - german made. That's what I have in mind but not done cause I'm considering changing amps. InitialM, If you'd like some clean powerful with control sound, the Helix is great. I wouldn't mind letting them go if you're keen. I'm also selling off my 12" genesis sub with custom-made enclosure. The sub is good for sure, just that, I don't want to go into using subs anymore. therefore, a 3-way front is necessary. My sub have monster Z-1R cabled up all the way, between amp and sub. I also have some 4awg monster/streetwire power cables and 4gang fuse blocks. I'll like to really embark on ICE on the E39...and I'm considering using a Class A amp from my fren.. Maybe we can share share ideas.....
