I had this problem and did a bunch of searching on the net until I found the answer. There's a place the magazine hooks or clicks into that eventually wears and the magazine warps due to the heat in the trunk over time. You need a thin piece of hard cardboard, thin plastic ruler or something like that (a credit card is not long enough to reach the latch). It needs to be about 4 or 5 inches and strong enough to pop the latch. Slide it down on one side and pull it across. I can't remember which side you do it on, but I think it's right to left. If not, try the other side. I had to play with it a bit but after about 5 minutes of fiddling with it I got it to unlatch so I could pop it out.
