E39 A/C issue

One fine morning my a/c was not cold. Found the compressor clutch is not kicking in. Thanks to bro 525i, checked the CCU is fine but we found out the 1 month old recon electric fan has kaput. All other fuse, relays, sensors relating to a/c is in good condition. Direct DC to compressor should its able to kick in the clutch and a/c is cold. Anyone had this symptoms before, any recommend workshop who has the diagnosis tool and good knowledge on E39 double vanos electronics.cheers..........

Thanks Moots , Pussy - visited Naidu but no luck getting it fixed.
Diagnosis done
Reset at bat terminal
checked sensor internal + fuse
compressor pressure

Than drove to Optimum 1 for compu check
Diagnosis Done
check all sensors + fuse
clear all fault codes
direct connection to compressor from compu - worked well

they dont deal with a/c so he is not sure, refer me to someone in TTDI. That guy says because my electric fan is not working therefore the compressor is not working. But the checked there is no power at the electric fan wire nor the compressor wire.

Optimum One later suggested it could be pressure switch.

Has anyone experience this symptoms before? I have requested a air cond workshop to source for 2nd-hand preassure switch to test. Anyone have any other recommendation?

Hi TBB,

Try going to Optimum u can see Ah Fai or Jason, if u need good aircon guy familiar with BMW u can try this guy Brian Lee 016-6638500 he located in a tyre shop at Tmn Tun, many BMW guys go see him reasonable even Ingress Auto send their client with aircon issue to him.

I drive E39 2003 M54 and find him good.

U can mention my name just Siva with E39 blue colour he will know bro.

Hope your issue can be solved do buzz me 019 2622112 we have TT and chhat regarding our UDM i am always near Damansara Perdana or Tmn Tun area.

Bro, last Friday left car at Brian's place - he sent my beast to another workshop in Kota Damansara. He had this OTC diagnosis laptop and surprisingly it was able to detect 3 issues with a/c.

Inside Cabin
1. Temp switch
2. Climate Control

Engine
1. Pressure Switch

Sensor + Switch has been replaced - error code is no more. However the climate control unit he received from chop shop did not work :smokin:
I still think this can be repaired - let me browse this. Worst case will need sifu 525i to help on ebay.
Will keep the update rolling.

Is it clutch not kicking in meaning not current to AC compressor ? All relays are ok ? You suppose to find a wireman to check for this issue.

Is it clutch not kicking in meaning not current to AC compressor ? All relays are ok ? You suppose to find a wireman to check for this issue.

weeks ago the place where I changes the compressor TnT Sunway did bring in a wireman to check - but he was not able to find issues with relays / fuse etc.
