E39 528i 2000/2001 - OBD Connector there?

Dear Sifu - Do the Car mention comes with OBD connector ? - Need some information before I open the dash below the Steering.

All bmw E39 comes with OBD connector. It is located on the right hand side when the storage compartment is.
Just detach the latch and you be able to see the connector.

Bro J....the earlier e39 ('96-'98 kot....not sure) like mine,the connector is the ole round one in the engine bay.the later ones are in the cabin where u mentioned .square connector.

Then you will need the 20pins to 16pin d adaptor lar.

but If I am not mistaken, scanner 1.40 dont work so well with older model with 20 pins connector. can only see DME and EGS only if I am not mistaken.
