I would keep the extra cash for any repairs and the first major service when you buy a 10 yr old car (ie. budget nothing less than 5K if you think you are buying a car in good condition).Once you drive the E36 you'll never regret if you take care of your "baby". Make sure you look at a 6 cylinder though and not 318.....more fun to drive and also be wary of dealers....better to get your ride from one of the bros on the forum (with service record).That's my humble opinion......love your bmw.</blockquote>
