[QUOTE="Vanquish, post: 71865, member: 84"] MH, Go with the JVC is you like what you see ... just be sure to listen to it ... ask the shop for a listening session and bring YOUR own CDs. But if you wanna look at top flight SQ decks with built in processors, the HX-D2 and 7998Rs are the way to go. The Eclipse are also not bad too Or look at the CD700 from Naka if you want understated elegance and sound ... You will spend no more than RM 3-4K for any of the above decks - PM me if you want more details and where to get em. The amps .... IMHO, avoid the new generation Soundstreams, RF, PPI and most of the US brands. They are being made in ASIA and quality is no longer as good as they were. The ones that you are refering to are the RF Punch series .... avoid it if you can, my friend unless budget is holding you back. Or look for some ol school amps from the likes of RF, PPI, Soundstream, Phoenix Gold, US Amps, Zapco and etc as they are still reknowned for the sound & build quality. These are but some suggestions .... please shop around a bit and most importantly, find a good installer who will tailor a system to suit your taste, needs and budget.
