This is really sad, i owonder what happen the the back glass?

This 'kampong' was seriously flooded and the water level was cover up to roof level (about 6 to 10 feet). so all the thing was like submarine. rear glass should be broken by quick flow water which mix with all kind of rubbish.

Hopefully the owner got additional insurance coverage for flood, otherwise.....teruk!

this gonna cost like buying a used e36 I bet...I feel sorry for that e36 owner.
i also feel sorry for him, but feel more sorry for the next owner

Moral of the story...for those still who don't have additional insurance coverage for flood, better do so.....manalah tau...kan? 'Banjir kilat' are everywhere now...btw we have to pay only 5% from the premium for flood coverage...better save than sorry!

next month my insurance will expired, thanks, never know before about insurance. 5% is fair enough for the money I guess. :D

Me only know this recently...:D glad it helps...

The heart goes out to that E36 owner.... but then again lots of people around Kota Tinggi suffered huge losses...

I think all those people in Kota Tinggi should claim back their income tax paid to the govt as providing a normal environment to live at - is the most basic infrastructure that should be provided by any government and municipal council...

All they think is cutting hills for development purposes so that everyone in the process can probably benefit financially without really investing in the long term effects that this could bring... no thoughts on irrigation plans etc! How come Singapore also experince the same rains but did not suffer serious floods like we did? Its simple, that any development plan in singapore would also take into account replacement to all natural resources that has to be destroyed as part of the development, including water flows, plants, trees etc.

Here the $$$$ clouds everybody's judgement and who cares about all these... and after all that has happen, what have the authorities done to rectify the issue - ZILCH! but they have been very proactive in blaming others for their mishaps - singapore lah, global warming lah, the melting of the nort pole lah... and other utter rubbish. SOMEONE, ANYONE, please take some responsibility and just maybe we can have a worry-free place to live!

Sorry guys, - I'm just frustrated and my heart goes out to all those who suffered as a result of this flood... May god be with us!

Silver,

Ditto that. It's frustrating to see that instead of helping the flood victim to rebuild their lives and get back to their feet, our much celebrated MB has gone on a witch hunt to blame the S'pore government for all that happened. It seems that he did not see enough of what really caused this disaster - bad town planning and archaic drainage system which falls within his state administrators alley of responsibility. It's nice to know that these are the very idiots that we voted into power in the 1st place. My advise to anyone who wants to bitch about my statement is come down here and see the aftermath yourself!

Regards,
VaN.

Bro Van,

You're absolutely right! It seems that the blaming culture has been the forefront of the current administration. Their first response for everything that goes wrong is to find a scape goat and load all the blame in that direction. At the core of this problem lies the words you correctly mention - BAD, VERY BAD TOWN PLANNING!

The very least that the MB could do is to take some of the responsibility and immediately announce intevention plans to address his approach towards town planning, including drainage systems etc. The whole management of the Kota Tinggi municipal council should have been fired! But as always, what is more important is to set up venues where they can go and do some crap so-called 'donation' and try to earn some press millage! Every time I see in the papers some politician handing out a bag of rice to a flood victim, it just makes me boil. These idiots are the true cause of their misery and now they have the cheek to bring the press to get some political millage - out of the misery of someone that they actually caused! Man, our politicians are true breeds??

I've seen the true aftermath from the lense of a friend of mine, its nothing like what they reported true the media - its probably 100X worst! I know exactly what you're talking about Man... as I said, my heart goes out to all those victims....

Totally agreed with van and silver.

He (MB) made us(especially johorean) in disgrace before having the real fact.

Talk to a client in Kt and she told me that they have to start all over again. some even have completed renovation and ready for chinese new year sales after the first flood and kena second time, nearly go bankrupt!!

I really feel for the people in Johor. I think that E36 would be one of the lesser damages compared to the other things they've lost...

On another note: The sideskirts and rear bumper look nice. What are they? At first the sideskirts looked like Racing Dynamics to me.

Read somewhere (Star or NST Car section recently) if flooded and your car got stuck up to the dashboard, its advisable to declare total loss as the ECU and every wiring can't be use anymore. Not to mention engine transplant, rust, carpet/seat and all. The amount needed to rebuild will just be too costly. Now I dont know how the insurance claim process is done for this case (some explanation was given in the write-up) but if I'm in the shoes I dont know whether I will do the noble thing of scrapping the car or do what needs to be done and sell it off.
I guess cant really say.. when you're at the bridge will think how to cross it I guess. At the moment looking/seeing/reading about the flood., just thankful to god for looking down on me ..........
