When I shift from P to D there is this bukk sound. I do not know what the sound is but sounds from the rear diff. Now what is do is make sure the brakes a fully pressed and then shift to P. Some have told me it is the actuator in the gearbox. Do let us know if you solve your problem. I used to have this gear kicking problem too, can't seem to remember if there was sound ( stereo always blasting )  but after doing a complete ATF flush, the problem seemed  to have disappeared. I do an ATF change at 15K now.</blockquote>
