hi,i really need to lowered my ride, but i have some question here. Can i just change the stock spring without replacing the abs?any comments?

yes you can but expect the ride to be a bit bumpy due to different compression rates between the sports springs and the stock abs

Answer to your question is yes. It would be better to change firmer shocks ultimately (when the current ori ones wear out). :)

can u help me to recomment a place where i can fix it...

There are plenty of workshops around. In PJ area, you can try M1, Eurotech and Optimum. Also can try out Bestness Motorsport near Subang Old Airport. Some also like Heritage at Old Klang Road.

Or, you could ask Calvin Tan to assist you. :)

Hey Bundy, so do you recommend using the original springs with firmer shocks like the bilstein yellow ones?

I have APEX springs with standard boge fronts and bilstein blacks (standard) at the rears.for me this works well.corners can be whacked with full confidence.the only limiting factor are the tyres.
i have heard some mechanics saying some owners changed their standard to bilstein hd but complained of hard ride.smoothness gone.

Hey Moots,

But those who complained about hard ride have Bilstein HD on lowered springs right?

I was wondering if the Bilstein HD might actually be a good compromise on standard springs because you get the benefit of long travel suspension to soak up our beautiful Malaysian potholes plus controlled handling without ever worrying about scraping the next speedhump.

Don't you think?

Where can I get Apex spring? :D

I Just went to Autokar in Glenmarie this morning and compressed my spring there(just wanna try it before i purchase a new sets of spring). The results actually turns out to be not bad at all. I lowered it for about 40mm in the front and just about 30mm rear.
driving comfort wise, it is just nice.not too hard and it corners very well.
But i dont know the effect in long term.

USED e30 front spring better choice then compress spring very dangerous can crack .

Forget Vogtland, it's too soft and will crash, I threw them out as trash a few years ago. I had them with Bilstein's HD.
These were replaced with Eibach Streetline (not sure if this is right but the ones for road use not track use), pretty good handling and a little on the firm side but no problems with bottoming out.
Bilsteins wore out and now I have Eibach Eibach springs with standard Boge shocks. Much softer than the Bilsteins, handling not as confidence inspiring as Bilsteins but no major problems still can "bantai" the corners with more body roll. And still manages the lowered look. A point to note with this combo is that you would have to cut and rethread the absorber shaft for the rear else when you jack up the car and lower it again you have to make sure the springs sit properly. Not a major problem if you don't do this either unless you take the car rallying.

izit true that the Bilsteins Black are harder than SACHS and Boge....hence is the best to get...not comparing with Bilstein Yellow of course....
