Anyone who has driven an old Iswara or Saga with a carbuarettor will remember the infamouse tappet symphony the engine makes when 1. It's hot outside 2. You're going up a gradient and malas to change gear. You'll hear the irckey-tickety-rickety-tick until you change gear. Now, this should not happen on a M50TU right? Unless what I'm hearing is not tappet noise. It happens at about 1,800-2000RPM and usually for a very short duration of 1 second or less when I gently press or release the throttle. It use to be a rare occurance but these days i'm hearing more of it. Anybody has this problem? Could it really be tappet noise? Hell I've never heard tappet noise on my Sentra and my Altima before except when I blew a water pump on my Altima and the engine overheated. Could the M50 have tappet noise?
