Well, obviously, since i have read so many threads here and in bimmerforum, i already have an idea which engine to be chosen, it will be either M30B35 ,or M50B25TU, I love low end torque, and i read M50B25NV suffers from it.I have even place an order in group buy for the beisan single vanos kit, in case i found M50TU halfcut. If found M30, then most probably will sell the vanos seal.Yes i know the fuel consumption of M30, won't be much worse than my current m20b20 anyway. I am going to retain manual. yeah, stick is more fun to drive.from what i have read, if using M30, my current gearbox will be useless. If found a M50B25TU auto halfcut, gearbox can be re-use with slight modification. not sure my current long shaft can be re-used not, as my rear subframe is smaller compared to B25 subframe, rite?Another question is, what is the current market for both type of halfcut? and its availability. My final decision might mostly depends on the availability of the halfcut, and the price.Of course, if any sifu here can give me a chance to sit on both cars, it may affect my final decision as well :smile:last question: how much is the typical conversion cost?? usually how long the conversion took??I need the detail to prepare a budget.
