Message: <blockquote data-quote="E34mafia" data-source="post: 734527" data-attributes="member: 26317">hi e34 sifusMy E34 520i 24v had perfectly functioning air cond until the pressure switch attached to the receiver/drier developed a leak and puked all of the refridgerant gas out.Checked the pressure switch and discovered it was a OEM switch and had a rubber part at the tip that leaked.(Original bmw pressure switches has metal body).So got a used pressure switch and filled up the gas and the ac worked fine but it takes time for the compressor to kick in.After starting the engine i immediately turned the ac on and the blower blows,the light at the ac and recirculate switch lights.but the air from the blower is no cold and i found out the compressor clutch is not engaged.At this time the window defogger(the button above the ac and recirculate button) cannot be turned on (no orange light). After 5 minutes with the ac on,the compressor clutch engages and the defogger works and functions normally.But if i turn off the engine and start it back up immediately the same problem reoccurs.Any sifus had the same situation and can help me??What i did so far:1)Replaced relay and switches2)Replaced the pressure switch twice already</blockquote>
