Of course la e28. In a seriousness, I have an e28 and my bro has an e34 which I also use often. Pure out and out driving pleasure, e28. The e34 wins in terms of refinement, creature comforts etc... but I feel it is a bit dull to drive. It lacks the chuckability of an e28 and it feels heavy. IMHO BMW ventured into the 'fat cat' market for the e34. The same can be said for the e36 if compared to the e30. No offence to the e34 owners out there....

2 cents worth...

i'm a e34 driver but i agree to wat sleme says!!...

i got e23.....as sleme says Pure out and out driving pleasure

In terms of maintenance cost, the E28 is cheaper to maintain compared to a E34. I'm sure my bro, Wolvie, will testify to that since he has both. :D

TQ Mafia and MTek

Rode in a Z23 once..man that car rolled like the Titanic during cornering..put me off 7's for life..did you make any modifications to your ride Sir Mafia to make it feel better?

The e28 is of course cheaper but there are of course less aftermarket parts since it is older. However, on normal wear and tear parts, some shops still have old stock which they let go for cheap. I got an original windscreen for RM750, original center box for RM450 (just to give you an idea). You can also walk into auto bavaria and book using part numbers if you have the ETK CD. They have to order it for you. Couple months back i ordered the window guides and the dash light switch plastic bracket for RM50 each. Had to wait 3 weeks but it came from Germany...

Engine wise, well quite easy. If you are getting, you can either opt for the small 6 2.0 or go big 6 i.e. 2.5 onwards.. My view, get the 2.5, ditch the engine and plonk a m30 3.5.... :D

Weakness, there is the dreaded front end brake shimmy at 90km/h. This can be cured with proper modification on the stock bushes...other than that...nothing really.

TQ Sleme..there is one fs ..a 2.0 with a Nissan 1.8 turbo transplant..haha but thats another story... :D :D :D

Putting Jap engine into your UDM is a blasphemous act in the eyes of many in this club.....

Fully agree with you..whats the point of driving a UDM is it is not whole

nope...I dun own any of the models.

But the best car in terms of driving to it limits....is E34. like it much better then the E39,cost the E39 is too comfy for me. B)
