E23 Center tie rod problem

Recently my center tie rod reach the end of its life, so i went to get the part. But after i drop the car and the part to the workshop, my mechanic told me that the place to fit the pitman arm is on the wrong side for this rod. My ride is a left hand converted to right hand drive. Can anyone tell me which side is their steeringbox and the pitman arm?need help urgently. thanks and best regards

Steering box connected to pitman arm and idle arm sit on the other side do nothing .

Sorry for the late reply...i just found out that there the center rod fits both right and left hand drive cars. my mechanic did not know...so went to my other mechanic who does BMW to find out.
