Driver Restraint System Message

Hey,

I am driving the 2014 320d Msport model.
Was wondering if any of you guys experince this before? Please also see the attached pictures for better understanding.
The message suddenly pop up without any knocks to it. Car still able to be driven.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Looks like something to do with your seatbelt???. i wonder what that really is.
Has not happened to me yet and hope it stays that way. Hope you manage to get it resolved soon. Wonder if you've read and acknowledged this message, does it come out again?

Hi bro,

Pay SC a visit just and was told they need 2days to diagnose the problem. Decided to leave the car only if they have a courtesy car for me to use unfortunately they have non.

First look they say its some sort of airbag sensor fault.

Will update you guys once I know what it is.

Hey,

Yes manage to send my car in yesterday together to get it checked and also to get my engine oil changed at 7k since the warning appear on idrive.

They did the diagnostic check and could not find any fault and they are guessing that it is a WIRING PROBLEM and need to leave the car in for couple of days To pin point the exact problem.

Will leave my car in next tuesday once the courtesy car is ready for a swap. Will update further and hopefully it will be fixed.

Hi guys,

Sent my car in on friday and collected it back today with the problem fixed.
It is the steering column switch cluster that is at fault. Here is what the guys have done over the 4days:-

- Performing vehicle test
- Troubleshooting airbag system
- Replacing steering column switch cluster
- Replacing Switch Unit

Aparrently switch unit is out of position/contact hence the warning lights appear.
Thank god that they also have stock for the parts need replacing.

However i found some scratch on my steering after returning home and sent them a pic. They apologies for it and will get it change for me once the stock arrive.

other than that i think they handle the job pretty well!

Good stuff, I tend to check my car after any troubleshooting done by the dealer as parts are easily prone to scratches.
