I used to work in a key manufacturing facility many-many moons ago. So qualify to advise on the old key technology.... not the new ones though. It is easy for the old keysmiths to redo all the keylocks. 1. Take out all the keysets from the car a. Stering lock b. door locks (2 set) c. boot lock 2. The keysmith will then take out the barrel from the cylinder. 3. He will re arrange the lockplates so that the key grooves will be the same for all. 4. The keysmith will cut a new key. 5. You put back all the keysets. 6. Item 1 and 5 can also be done by the locksmith if you do not know how to do it. 7. Cost excluding item 6 ~ not more than RM100-00, I did mine for RM50-00 few years back. And help a friend who lost her CITRA key when someone broke into her house. New set will cost her RM1500-00.
