My own issue with the crackling windows were sorted out today at Auto Bavaria Penang. While I am unsure how long it will last, the following was carried out: 1. Re-alignment of all 4 doors. 2. Application of Teflon tape on the underside of High-Gloss Shadowline(the area that is in contact with the doors itself). Hope this helps. My two cents: Vaseline is a no-no. Petroleum based lube and rubbber....sound familiar? There is a powdery residue on the rubber seals on all the doors. It's there the day you get your car. We just gotta find out what it is atart slathering on the stuff. Sighs...it's sad to have to find ways to stop a car that costs so much from creaking.
