Need to know further either it's safe to do this way or not??..Read through the descriptions.."This is a pure software based method that does not require any hardware add-ons (Stay away from FM boosters! Hi bro..

For your E39 can get the dension gateway 300 Ipod/USB adapter.. BUT.. I am not sure if it is compatible with IPhone 4 (I think the compatibility is listed for up to IPhone 3g.. )

Or you can get the Dension Gateway Five which includes bluetooth as well.. Again the compatibility is listed up to IPhone 3gs ....

Only lists IPod 4G but not IPhone 4 or IPhone 4S... You can email them and check with them though..

Hi Damonzero,

If your is 6.6" screen I-Drive, then your's is a M-ASK (Multimedia-Audio System (C)Kontroller). If your car is built from 2005 onwards, then it should be possible for me to enable MP3 for your I-Drive.

currently already have tv unlock and multimedia kit but not using fm booster.

i want mp3 capability (now only cd) and comes with MD and also saving of radio stations.

May I know what you mean by chip replacement? Did they replace some chip in your CCC and used software-mod to enable radio without booster?

Basically MP3 is definitely possible bro. If your car is manufactured from 2005 onwards then it should be no issue. However, based on how/what they have modded, I need to check your car first to see...

Just a quick check. I am not an avid radio user as I usually play my cd's but when I need to I often tune in to several channels - namely mix.fm. I have never done any reprogramming of such but I get the channel pretty clear at the frequency of 84.x something. Do other jap spec owners get the same thing? Or is this already reprogrammed?

But i don't think you manage to receive Era.FM becoz the channel frequency is 103.3 mHz.. Japan Radio only limited up to 90 mHz if i not mistaken..
