Gents, anyone experience done it?is it plug and play?and did you gain anything?.tq to share ur experience..

Its a known and must have mod to unleash the m52 328.
on paper m50b25 is 189 HP
M52B28 is 197HP

This is due to that they used a smaller manifold on the M52B28 to provide a higher than normal torque at low end. hence reason the 328 is way more torquier thatn 325.

Once moded. you will drop abit of low end torque. but you will gain alot more on the high end as well as top end. HP on average will go up to 220hp.

Bro, i think what u mentioned is HP gain from conversion of intake manifold but TS talk about exhaust manifold.

Yes, i think it's the intake manifold. Not the exhaust manifold.

Many 328s running around with M50B25 intake manifold. Hope they can chip in on what needs to be done and a rough estimate of how much it costs. Last i heard was around RM700.

Should be intake manifold because as far as i know no one does exhaust manifold. coz M52B28 exhaust also bigger :p

From my research only do this swap if you are running manual. Coz auto you need the low end torque due to the ratio for the auto is different

i know m50 intake manifold is bigger than m52. but,in this case,im asking about mod on exhaust manifold. m52 exhaust manifold made fro S.Steel and the design of manifold looks great.must be a good flow exhaust over there....

m50 IM on the right.

o
ops....sorry.... i just re-read your question..for the exhaust mani.....yes plug and play and no...nil HP gain.....

i doubt very much la bro.if you replace stock for stock manifold...though from another engine model....i doubt it will leash out much ,if any, added performance in terms of hp nor sound.....unless maybe this..........heh heh heh......now this is different territory.....

Haha..dat one will be very nice bro!!!but since u said it is plug n play,i will try it..if it is not good,i will chg back to stock..

The M50 exhaust manifold is made of cast iron and its thinner than the M52 328i which is made of stainless steel. If you look inside the M50B25 exhaust manifold and the M52B28 exhaust manifold, you can clearly see the difference in size and the smoothness of the material between the M50 cast iron and the M52 stainless steel exhaust manifold.
