Guys,Reference to the above, a Chinese guy claimed that he is "REPLAY" and collected a set of Double vanos seal kit from collection centre on 1st June. This afternoon about 2.30 pm, another Chinese guy by name of also "REPLAY" collected another set of Double vanos seals kit. It was a mistake that the collection centre allowed both "REPLAY" to take the seal sets. I am requesting the Chinese guy who claimed that he is "REPLAY" and has "mistakenly" taken a set of vanos seal to return it to me ASAP. To avoid such an incident again, collection centre will insist proof of identity before collection.

damn...some people are trying to take advantage by faking others' ID...

perhaps for the next collection...purchaser to provide full name and IC number (full or last 4 digits) to you via PM and during collection...

Should have taken a picture of the guy when they collect and post it here..
Then we know who is the cheapskate alias conman is..
I cant understand this type of thing can happen for a group buy.

I obtained further information from Collection centre.

On 1st June (Tuesday) forumer "Mr_Bertz" came in a Proton Iswara with another Chinese guy "Replay" and collected 2 sets and 1 set respectively of Double vanos seals kits. Does anyone have the contact information of Mr_Bentz so that I can call him to verify whether the other Chinese guy is acutally "Replay".

Calling Mr_Bertz, please call me at (012) 209-9615 to clarify the above matter.

On 2nd June (Wed), a Chinese guy (Chua) who claimed that he is "Replay" also collected 1 set Double vanos seals kit. I have called his mobile (012) 381-1180 and he claimed he is the actual "Replay". His silver E39 registration is WKQ 383. Anyone can confirm he is Replay??

I'm Replay....and I drove my silver e39 to Wai Loon's place this afternoon to collect the goods. I dont know a Mr Bertz btw.

I've only met up with a few forummers before and Bailey and Feisal can vouch for my identity.

Hi there guys..

Herbert just contacted me thru the message...

I'm the real mr_bertz...I just got a message from Herbert regarding people using my nick to collect my seal kit....2 double vanos seal kit...WTF??

Anyhow... spoke to Herbert, he mentioned 2 chinese guy using the name mr_bertz... I'm a malay btw and Herbert can confirm this....

I dont have any Iswara...only an E46 M3 and an Alfa 156..

Shittero man... bad luck la for me..

This kind of people oso got ka...fakerama..

Latest info.....

Just received a call from Mr_Bertz ( a Malay guy) that he has received my pm and he said that he did not go to the collection centre yesterday to collect his 2 sets of vanos seals.

So the 2 Chinese guys who came to the collection centre claiming that they were Mr_Bertz and Replay were impersonators/conmen.

OR it could be the guys from the 3rd group purchase who thought that their vanos seals are ready for collection.

and also all payments to be made over counter purchaser must produce bank in slip with computer printed details after bank in.

Some A.holes really have no principles and respect for others. Want to drive BMW and cannot even fork out a measly RM162 for the seals. To Those who did this you are bunch cheap skates. IF CANNOT AFFORD RM162 DON't BOTHER EVEN GOING NEAR THE BRAND.

I really hope that this is an honest mistake. If it is I take back the above if it's not so be it.

Hi Herbert,

Sorry to hear about this. May I suggest you to put in place a proper procedure for buying and collecting to avoid this incident from happening again. One example is ID confirmation which is provided when buying should be used during the collection. This is a public forum and this section is viewable by anyone who has internet access thus it is natural that there is some crooks that would use such dirty tactics to manipulate or cheat.

A community service message brought to you by BMWCM...

Herbert, did anyone contact u to go to collect on the day before? Try to search in your memory.

Hi Mr VP,

Thanks for your kind words and advice. I will certainly put in place a more stringent procedure when collection is concerned.

If my memory serve me right, no one call me the day before. Why??

Oh my, like this also can, but at least it looks like the list of suspects have been rounded down to the 2 people. Did Wai Loon or the other mech's manage to glimpse the number plate for the Iswara? if they did then perhaps its possible to trace back to those 2 fella

It is confirmed that the 2 Chinese guys came in a white Proton Iswara and they parked their car away from the shop. From descriptions given by mechs, both guys in their late 40s, the one who claimed to be Mr-Bertz was short & a bit on the plumb side. They were well versed with the latest situation on the group buy so they must be lurking around the forum.

To the 2 Chinese guys, whatever your names are and if you are reading this post, you should be shameful of your act. For a mere RM162 vanos seals, you can go to the extend of carrying out your shameful/conman act. Don't forget, we have your white Proton Iswara car registration number. I can rest assured you that we will track you down through our various networks and alert has already be given to all tow-truck companies to look out for your car. You can hide for a while but you cannot hide all the time as the tracking of your car is on a 24 hours basis.

However if you have mistakenly taken the vanos seals and wish to return it, you can contact me at (012) 209-9615.
