Done with the rectification and i was amazed or rather amused by the answers given by the Head of After Sales 1) Grease marking was due to the bonnet grease flown out from the hydraulic arm. He said our car can't withstand extreme heat park under the sun. Therefore it melts. 2) Sound from the steering rack is operational sound. The rack is no longer using hydraulic but motorized system. Hence the sound every time drive over bump. He said even change the rack the sound will appear again. 3) The manufacturing date on the VIN number (Nov 2012) was the actual month BMW start assembly. The car completed in 2013 hence registration card written year 2013. 4) Service book are now all computerized. 5) Cigarette lighter AC is working fine. 6) Break paddle spring sound rectified. He spray WD40. 7) Temperature fluctuation on our speedometer is not engine temp but oil temp. Therefore he said not to worry even touches 110. However he said if exceed 120 then something wrong. Engine temp overheat will only appear onto the iDrive else it's fine. 8) ASS (ignite itself) less than 20sec wait at traffic light. He said the ASS is very intelligent and will ignite the engine automatically even if we don't do anything. He shared with me that 2012 total BMW sales in Malaysia (all models) are merely 5000++ units and that is considered a small market. Therefore Germans didn't put priority into solving issues in Malaysia. He said in Germany only less than 5% reported car with issues. It's considered a success rates for them. So why issues happen in Malaysia market???
