The BBS CSL rims are the same cast technology BBS uses for their F1 rims.
E46Fanatic, All casted rims are low pressure gravity cast lar, same old tech used in all OEMs for production cars (eg. Bright rims etc). The other manufacturing technology for rims would be cold forging but that cannot be done for the entire rim. The more important thing is actually the materials used, machining process after casting and the design of the rims (in 3D CAD of course)

My 2 cents
