I bought my car from AB last time. They gave one year warranty for some new parts only.

hi,

warranty i know they give....but do they touch up the car nicely before delivery ? or just deliver like it is ? as i said, topmark car will be touched up, repainted (if necessary), polish, if dented, they will do small repairs, etc

For my case, the car has been sprayed, all the arms were new and none of any problem when i collected the car. However i am not sure whether the previous owner or AB paid for the cost.

Guys, yes, they will touch up the car till it looks very new. How much they touch up will depends on the condition of the car. Normally bumper, bonnet they will repaint.(I overheard it from them) Those worn or broken parts will be replaced too.(As far as I know)

As for warranty, you will really need to check with the SA when you close the deal. Some cars are conditional which means engine, GB, electronic parts only.(The last time when I was eyeing on a 50kmileage blue 325) Some cars they will cover like new cars except wear & tear, namely repair inclusive package like my current car. They didn’t say no to my previous claim which the bill was 1.8k covered by them. But you have to be careful. Ask before you send in coz if they say no, but part is changed then u will kena the bill.

I was told they only sell good condition car their customers trade in. High mileage, bad condition which they think is risky, will normally send out & let their dealer to sell.

Lastest interest rate is 3.9% from bank for term less then 7yrs. If u loan 80% from BMW credit should be able to get around 3.8%.

Hope it helps. Happy hunting.

bmw7833, when & where u buy? Model?

Whykay, got take a look & talk to them, it will give u a better picture.

ok...so in that case, it is better than get from AB, although it is slightly more expensive, but it's worth it, i think - with the exta price - they give u warranty, and on top of that the beautify the car for you before delivery,..am i right ?

That's what i thought last time.

wow, that's a pretty high IR figure. What happened to those days when it was only 1.88-2%?

Bro, dat's for new car... Ours are used car rate some more now interest rate increase espeically at begininng of the year they added another 1%

Whykay, i personally think worth it lah. I think there are other opinions too. Anyway, shop, negotiate & compare first before you decided. When one very good condition turns up, u gotta be quick, so u will need to get your mind fixed & pretty sure what, where you wanna buy. when the chance comes, just execute.

Well, the good old days where you actually hop from one financial instituition to another hunting for the best rate is gone my fren,Apparently it's our wonderful and smart thinking government's ruling.I was told that any officer offering you anything less would get fried(if you get what I mean). It seems that it has something to do with promoting a certain local make.Bottom line is,you will be fleeced. What exactly is the rationale behind such crap during hard times like now, beats me.

The best SA over there at the Premium Selection is James Jesudass .. honest guy.. look for him ..

btw, we just talked about Auto Bavaria pre-owned cars only,...what about Ingress Auto ? anybody has any expeirence with Ingress Auto , especially the pre-owned selections ?

aiks...i got confused a bit...is the 2nd hand car Auto Bavaria in Segambut or Glenmarie ?

Not sure about Segambut, but I have seen the premium selection outlet in AB @ Glenmarie.

Other location sell pre-owned, but thos very very new one, just register then sell as 2nd owner.

You need premium selectioin used cars, then will need to go to Glenmarie. Go there, it's the HQ, more cars in proper show room to view, test drive. U may not get what u need just by 1 visit. Leave ur expecation, budget & phone no. to the sales, so that they will call you when good car turns up.:listen:

For my case, I missed a blue mileage 50k e46 325. Just by one day late, I didn't sleep well that week after it... :stupid: So, i tell myself not to repeat the same mistake again.

Lucky enough, I got an even better one 1mth later.:top: I turn up few hrs later at 6pm after the sales called me to view,(the car was sent in at 3pm by ex-owner without touch up) test drove. Immediately I placed the booking because it was Friday. I know car in this condition will definitely be sold in the weekend. No time to think, calculate, discuss with family.

Later on a few AB employee which I come to know was actually eyeing on dat car too, i was half day earlier than them... Phew...

So, my advice, whatever u need to think, calculate, discuss with family. Do it now, have it fixed & wait for execution. If u have decided to buy from AB.

For used beemers sold by AB, if its less than 4 years old, they will give 6 mths warranty provided the first owner have been sending the car for service since day one...If car is above 4 years old, they will sell it on as is where is basis..For pre-reg cars which are relatively new, about 1 year, they probably cover it with more than 6 months warranty, more like 1 year i think..

But i think buying car less than 4 years and covered by AB's 6 mths warranty is probably safer..

I am not sure the above is still the current practice, it was, a few years ago when i bought my car from them but mine is not covered with any warranty as it was more than 4 years old but car is in a beautiful condition and was used by one of their subsidiary director..

yep, what boba fett said is about right.. The Premium selection outlet is in Glenmarie.. it has a big selection.. James is very knowledgeable as he is also a bimmer enthusiast..he drives a lovely red E34.. look for him and you'll be satisfied coz he ll give u the proper advice needed.. his after sales is excellent.. AB will touch up the car , change tyres if needed etc.. Ingress also has a good selection with same warranty watnot as said above.. Both prices are a bit on the high side because of that I guess..go fish around before u commit..
