Ok currently I am using a 320i coupe (2nd purchase), the first purchase e36 320i coupe non vanos was a nightmare auto gearbox and overheating, managed to sell it. Got myself a 2nd purchase a e36 320i coupe vanos, the car is in excellent condition, encountered the following problem 1. Power Window 2. Overheating, replaced the thermostat 3. Wear and tear is normal The only problem with a 320i is that is is under powered, I am ok with it as the car is used by my wife, highway cruising is excellent due to the 6 potter, milleage clocked 224k, engine overhauled once by the previous owner. All the best in the purchase, try get the vanos version as the car is slightly lighter on pick up.
