I think Keriskl was frustrated that his iDrive shows 30k despite the fact that we are in a hot, humid tropical climate which is full of dust and traffic jams.I've seen other manufacturers give a longer service interval for countries with no jams, straight roads and clean air and stressed that the interval will be cut half if the car is driven in one of the conditions I listed above in our country and for us we have the whole list of conditions that will prompt a shorter interval to keep the car in good condition.This topic has been brought up numerous times but no one went and wrote an official letter to BMW Malaysia seeking clarification for their affected vehicles. To be honest I've wrote to them a couple of times to clear misunderstandings about my car and so far their response has been satisfactory so owners who have the 30k intervals ought to clear this matter with BMW Malaysia as this is unfair when others have a shorter intervals. If you're still not satisfied then there's the tribunal at your service and I think owners like myself can show that our vehicles does indeed have a shorter interval comparing to other cars.</blockquote>
